Welcome To OpenTimeAPI!
The only free, open-source API that gives you the time in any timezone!
About Us
OpenTimeAPI, created by Blake McIntosh in September 2024, aims to provide a seamless time zone service. With no rate limits and no CORS issues, OpenTimeAPI is designed to deliver time information across various time zones with simplicity and reliability.

Blake, a developer for radio station websites, developed OpenTimeAPI after facing challenges with finding a reliable source for an on-air clock. The previous API he relied on had numerous limitations and often caused the clock to crash, leading to the creation of a more dependable solution with OpenTimeAPI.
Disclaimer
Disclaimer #1
OpenTimeAPI was initially developed in "dogfooding" mode, tailored specifically to meet my own needs as a radio station website designer. However, if you'd like to request a feature or suggest improvements, feel free to reach out at [email protected].

Disclaimer #2
This project is entirely self-funded and relies on donations to stay online. If I don’t receive the necessary support, the website may be taken offline. In that case, I will ensure that users are given at least one month’s notice before the service is discontinued.

Disclaimer #3
The API data is stored using a third-party service. While it’s highly unlikely, if that service goes offline, the API will be affected and may also go offline. I will do my best to mitigate any disruptions.
